just for you // blog hop + book giveaway

It feels almost unreal but yes ...  I'm in a book.
Last year I was asked to contribute a sewing project to a book by Sarah Markos and Caroline Fairbanks-Critchfield from SewCanShe. The book is called 'Just for you - selfish sewing with your favorite SewCanShe bloggers' and contains 24 simply stylish projects.
I said YES ... and so you can find my project, the travel etui on page 54 in the book.
As some of you already know, we love to travel even with the little ones. So we have a lot of documents to carry along. This organizer is designed to hold everything you need: two to four passports, tickets, vouchers and printed material. And be sure, the travel etui has been tested already quite a while. So I couldn't resist to show you some photos of our latest trip to Cape Town.
The other projects in the book are very lovely and I can't wait to sew some of them. You can find beautiful bags, skirts, aprons, dresses and more. I am very proud and honored to be one of the designers.
In case you haven't the book yet, you can win a copy from Stash Books. Just comment this blogpost or leave a comment on my facebook page by December 1 latest. The winner will be chosen randomly. Please note, that U.S. winners will receive a hard copy and international winners will receive credit to purchase the ebook.

Check out the other blogs on the Blog Hop for more chances to win ... and get a closer look to all of the lovely projects from the book. There is another huge giveaway over at SewCanShe where you can also win fabric for 4 projects.
PS: and because I made my very own travel etui just for me ... I am adding it to RUMS today.

Das ist ein tolles Projekt- sowohl dein Etui als auch die Gemeinschaftsarbeit aller Bloggerinnen.
Und die Kapstadtbilder lösen wieder Fernwehschübe aus. Dort unten ist jetzt Frühling!!
